Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Friday morning was cold and bitter. The snow was falling as we headed towards Fort Collins, praying. Traffic jams were everywhere, and we had to take another route to South Shields Street. "God, make the snow stop the girls!" My mom prayed with earnest. We, my entire family, were heading for the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. God had told my parents to make a sign that said "Can we adopt your baby?" So we were headed there to hold it. Yesterday morning opened my eyes to the reality of abortion. There we were, on the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood, holding our sign and praying for the babies and moms about to enter the clinic. If you are wondering, we did get thumbs down and shouts and tongues sticking out (I'm serious). But for some reason, I was even more happy to be out there, toes
freezing off every second! The Bible says to "Rejoice when you are persecuted." And we did get more thumbs up and shouts of "YEAH!" than we did persecution.
Then we saw a girl walk in, and another, and they all tried to ignore us and our signs. But what really made me mad was when a battered up blue minivan pulled into the parking lot, and a mother got out. The passenger door opened, and a girl (about two years older than me, and I'm almost 13) got out, a sad expression on her face. Her mom took her into the clinic, but not before the girl saw our sign "Can we adopt your baby?" She looked at it multiple times before the glass doors closed behind her. My heart was heavy as I realized what she was about to do. Or, what her mom was making her do. The look on her face told me she did not want to have an abortion. Please pray for her and that family; I keep having dreams about that girl.
